I’m thrilled to share that the STS Ethics Meeting conference last week was a remarkable success. We had the pleasure of attending approximately 60 high-caliber presentations covering a diverse range of topics, including STS, ethics, sociology, philosophy, communication, science policies, anthropology, and more. A heartfelt thank you to all those who contributed to the success of this event.
During the conference, we also had some exciting news to announce, and I want to reiterate it for those who might have missed it: we are in the process of launching Türkiye’s very first academic STS journal.
This groundbreaking journal is set to publish original research articles in both Turkish and English, with a plan for biannual releases. We will begin accepting article submissions in January 2024, and the inaugural issue is scheduled for publication in May 2024.
While the name of the journal is yet to be finalized, we invite you to click on the following link to view suggestions for the journal name from the STS community and share your preferences. If you have alternative name suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly, and we’ll ensure your proposal reaches our editorial board.
